Simply Homemade Catering was established in early 2017 after owner and operator Danielle Monds decided to make her dream a reality and open up her own catering company. Danielle has been surrounded by food and cooking ever since she was a young child. Growing up in her family's restaurant of 40 years Danielle worked closely with her mother and grandmother as they were the owner and operators of the restaurant.
Working at the restaurant was a major part of her life so it would be no surprise for her to develop not only a love for food but a love for cooking. Danielle worked very closely beside her grandmother which opened her eyes to the fundamentals of Soul Food cooking. Nothing was ever measured, recipes were never used and everything came from the heart. Actually watching customers enjoy something that her grandmother made, gave Danielle a sense of admiration and motivation to one day be able to happily satisfy people the way her grandmother did with food.

Fast forwarding to 2017, after giving birth to her second child there was no better time to share her love of food with others. Carrying on recipes that Danielle was taught by her grandmother such as homemade chicken and dumplings (where the dumplings were made by hand), fresh picked collard greens with bacon drippings and fat back, baked macaroni and cheese, candied yams, sweet potato pie, Neck bones,Pig feet, and Great Northern Beans gave Danielle the opportunity to share her country cooking with others who would never think to eat this way and actually enjoy it. To taking her love of food past Soul Food and appreciating the craft of food and stepping out of her comfort zone to cook other things such as Apricot Chicken with Thai Noodles, to different Pastas, to different finger foods allows Simply Homemade to get in touch with what the customers will want.

Simply Homemade Catering is a meal service designed for families that want a delicious meal with out breaking their pockets in the comfort of their own home, as well as providing services for small events up to 75 people.
